If she didn’t kill trolls, she would be eaten by her lusus.

It was kill or be killed.

And funny how people seem to forget her reaction to Doc Scratch and how she HATED HIM for manipulating her and giving her a taste of her own medicine.

How she told him her friends were OFF LIMITS.

She never.

Wanted to hurt Aradia or Tavros.

She felt HORRIBLE for what she did.

And what’s worse, she hated herself for feeling bad.

She was so conflicted.

Does anyone remember her death?? Or what she said before she was STABBED IN THE BACK. LITERALLY.

How she wanted to fight Jack.

So she could save her friends and set everything right.

And never have to kill again.

And be a good person.

Gamzee didn’t give a single FUCK about the people he killed.

He still probably doesn’t give a fuck.

So go on and judge me for liking one of THE most well written and well developed characters in Homestuck.

Vriska was one of the most human trolls because she had her own set of morals she had to go against all of her life and had more regrets than any of the other trolls had. 

If anyone likes her as a character it’s a sign they appreciate character traits and not quirky hilarity and kawaii yaoi.

no one forced her to kill him. or aradia. she did those things because she wanted petty revenge/to get what she wanted. yes, she felt bad about them later, but it’s a little too late when they’re sort of, you know, dead already. yes, she’s very well developed, blah blah blah, that doesn’t mean i have to like her just because she feels repentant for the nasty things she did or that i have to excuse her for them because she was raised shittily.

to put it in perspective, i don’t expect you to excuse a serial killer’s behavior because they felt bad about it afterwards and their parents were abusive shits.

im also a little curious about the ‘lusus eating her’ shit, because her lusus could have just eaten her as a grub. and chances are she was too little to go troll murdering for kind of a while, so did her lusus just get lazy and decide not to ever go hunting again? also the fact that she got trapped in a ravine and couldnt get out, vriska could have stopped killing trolls and just let her lusus starve to death. but she chose not to.

vriska also killed by choice, and gamzee was sort of completely out of his mind from the brain-rotting chemicals he ingested all the time and the fact that he was insane before he started eating sopor. sure he might not care, but he feels like he has no reason to care. ill give vriska credit at least here, because she did feel bad, but still.

Whoa hold the fucking phone right here. Did you and I read the same webcomic. You have completely misinterpreted her and have either forgotten or chosen to ignore a bunch of really important facts here.

First off she had legitimate reasons to kill both Aradia and Tavros.
> Aradia was sending the spirits of the dead to torment her, starting the whole cycle of revenge thing. People tend to forget this since everyone loves Aradia, but Vriska didn’t kill her just because she felt like it. She had to or else she would of gone mad and probably ended up killing herself. (Also Aradia has some questionable motives as well.)
> Tavros was going to kill her. Everyone makes out Tavros to be this really weak character but the thing is he isn’t. 
“But he was sticking up for himself!” HE WAS TRYING TO KILL HER.
Vriska created Bec Noir so she would have the chance to fight him and defeat him, so she could be lauded as a hero and once more be in the favor of her former friends. 

The point is both of those killings were in self defense.
So your point that “No one made her kill them!” is rendered mute.
Also, despite the fact she was protecting herself she still feels like shit about both incidences.

Also your whole entire lusus argument isn’t really correct either. Spidermom was probably not always as huge as we see in the comic, at least she was small enough to be able to hunt on her own, and thus did not rely on Vriska for food.
Either that or she was able to feed herself long enough before Vriska became of age to hunt for her.
This is speculation, yes, but it makes logical sense. Also she couldn’t just “stop feeding her.” The huge spider would of probably destroyed Vriska’s home to find and eat her. 

The point is. Vriska, like many Homestuck characters, isn’t completely evil or good. Hussie does an extremely good job of creating characters with both traits that can not easily be classified as one or the other. And this goes for pretty much all of the Homestuck characters. It’s just that Vriska is an especially interesting case but unfortunately the fandom tends to simplify many characters’ personalities to just one trait.

Look I am not trying to get you to like her or anything. I’m just trying to explain to you why you can’t just slap on the “huge, psychopathic bitch” label on her. Her actions weren’t for the sake of being evil. They were the result of troll society and her ambitions to be her own self fulfilling prophecy that all comes crashing down. Which leaves her with no friends except a little human boy she met on the internet and bunch of actions she deeply regrets.

why doesn’t she just kill her lusus or get out somehow? if she can’t hunt then why doesn’t she just get out of there? of does she have really conflicted feelings about her (don’t read homestuck so this could all be obvious)

or at least if she can’t kill her herself get her and her friends to do the job? if she feels so bad about killing her friends and other trolls then why doesn’t she give that a shot (or is that super impossible too, i have no idea)

i’m just yeah. if someone is killing people to feed something instead of seeking help so they don’t have to do so they are still pretty unlikeable in my eyes lmao and that doesn’t really justify anything even if they dislike it

Vriska most likely stayed because she also saw the task of feeding her lusus as a challenge. Her ancestor, the troll she so greatly admired and aspired to be, probably had the same lusus and the same task. As a result she felt as if she abandoned her lusus to feed off her neighbor and reek havoc she had failed in her mission to be exactly like Mindfang. If Mindfang could of survived her childhood and fed her lusus, than she could too. 

Also she did originally have help from Terezi since they were Scourge Sisters and went on a mad spree to judge those they deemed to be “unjust.” Those who did not fit their ideals of justice were fed to Spidermom.
